DALI4US (Data Literacy for Upper Primary Schools) is an Erasmus+ funded collaborative project with educational partners in Ireland, Slovenia and Luxembourg.
The project introduces data literacy to upper primary school students (ages 10–12), fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the exploration of real-world issues using data. To support this, the project empowers primary school teachers with the confidence, knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to teach data literacy effectively.
A comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach includes the development of a tailored framework specifically designed for this age group, alongside the adaptation of Orange Data Mining software to ensure it is accessible and user-friendly for educational settings.
Additionally, the project offers professional training programs for teachers and school leaders to support the meaningful integration of data literacy across the curriculum.
